{Theme: Rest in the midst of learning something new}
In the first moments of learning to walk, it is awkward, unfamiliar, challenging and exciting... These moments of awe, delight and pride at having learned how to replicate the confident steps of your parent, come after persevering through the process of trying over and over again, falling and getting up to try again. A process which you can only do by resting in that place of trust and leaning into the confidence that, though you don't know how to do it yet, you've seen it modeled and can safely step out in taking the scary risk of those first steps.
This is how I've felt through the process of these last 9 months in which Papa has been rewiring me and it feels as though I'm learning to walk again... Fumbling in the newness I've learned by just mimicking each of Papa's steps... Still newly learned but my strides are quickly strengthening and growing more sure with every day. :}
