In response to yet another string of publicized African American killings, such as Ahmaud Arbery, Breonna Taylor, and George Floyd, the grief and outrage of the Nation reached a tipping point, resulting in ongoing riots and protests across the Nation as everyone pushed for change.
I’ve been working on this painting for the last week as I’ve watched, listened and prayed. So many voices saying so many different things, it became clear that I needed to direct my attention to Papa and let His voice be the loudest. It can be so overwhelming to want change without a clear plan or vision for how to bring it about. God always brings me back to His voice reminding me that He holds the keys for change, transformation, healing, revival, justice, mercy, freedom etc. If I let his voice be the loudest then I can access the keys of what I can do to partner with bringing heaven to earth each day.
