In playing with different illustration styles I've watched myself become more soft with my colors and brush strokes. In the past I have been so passionate and definitive with my strokes, drawing harshly even with a pencil so lines weren't erasable. I have not lost the passion or love for embracing no fear of making mistakes.... but I am learning to become more gentle. This parallels this season of learning to love myself well as I am learning to have a grace for myself I didn't know I needed.
I love the way Deer are always found elegant and graceful in anything they do. Even in rest, this deer seems to still carry a posture of royalty. It feels like resting in the deep knowing of identity. This must be what it looks like to have grace for oneself.
